We measure homes by many standards. We measure square footage (by rules here in NC). We measure them against similar properties. We measure their location, external composition, we even measure non-measurable scores like "Walk-ability"
But the question remains : How do sellers measure the weight of their house?
Most of the time it's measured by how much they owe on the mortgage. For those who are underwater, the programs for relief from this weight is a painful process. I wish there was a weight -loss program for underwater home-owners. Fact is that the weight of the under water mortgage gets heavier each month.
I wish I knew a clean solution.
the dirty little secret is that anyone in this heavy situation may end up with dirt stains on them (credit wise)
This will weigh heavy on many aspects of their next abode ( including even rentals)
Seeking every avenue of expertise when weighing the affects of a foreclosure or Short-sale, is a heart-attack important quest for the solution to your future.
