City Park itself is an extremely popular destination for those hot summer days. The park is fairly large and contains extensive green space, Sheldon Lake, community swimming pool with a towering water slide, baseball fields, running trails, and plenty of playground equipment for kids. Paddle boats are available to rent if you'd like to spend a day on the water, and there is the City Park Railway, a small train perfect for kids...or the youthfully inclined. The Trolly also rides between downtown and city park down Mountain Ave.
Homes around City Park - This past week when the weather was nice, I took a stroll around city park, exploring the surrounding neighborhood. If beautiful, unique, early to mid century craftsman style bungalows are your thing, you need to take an afternoon and stroll the streets in this area.
