Real Estate Agent in Johns Creek Georgia, Lorin Marsolo, Attends Million Dollar Event sponsored by the Atlanta Board of Realtors.
This past Friday night, along with 500 other top producing Atlanta area real estate agents, I attended the Atlanta Board of Realtors 2009 Million Dollar Club Banquet at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead.
Many people hear about the Million Dollar Club and assume that agents who are in the club have made a million dollars. WRONG! Agents who make the Million Dollar Club must have sold a minimum of $3 million dollars worth of real estate during the year in question. In past years, it was easier for agents to make the club, but with the slow down in the real estate market, it has become much harder to qualify, and fewer agents made the cut this year.
As a real estate agent active in Johns Creek Georgia, Alpharetta Georgia and the Atlanta real estate market, making the club this year was more gratifying than ever before. A year of hard work and determination paid off. And, I take my hat off to all my friends and associates in the business who have also managed to prosper in this difficult market. The market has evolved over the past couple of years, and thousands of real estate agents have dropped out of the business in Atlanta. Those who have stayed afloat and done well have a real commitment to the industry and to helping people achieve their home ownership needs.
Although I've been an active real estate agent in Johns Creek and Atlanta for years and I've made the Million Dollar Club many times, I've never attended the banquet before. This time around I wanted to go and share the moment with my friends and peers, and I was glad I did. The Atlanta Board of Realtors and the Ritz Carlton did a great job. I will definitely go again! In this picture with me are some of my friends and office mates who were also honored to be in the club this year; Monireh "Mya" Adloo, Katherine Norton, Barb Clum, and Monica Choy.
In today's competitive market you need a real estate agent who does enough business to have an intimate knowledge of local market values, and more important, to know the usual and customary concessions that are being made by both buyers and sellers. You can lose thousands by making unnecessary concessions at contract time. Knowing that your agent is a member of the Million Dollar Club is one way to assure you that your agent has the experience that you need to get the best possible representation!
