The quaint little community we call Two Egg is a small unincorporated community in Jackson County, Florida. There are various stories as to the origin of the name, although most deal with the trading of eggs for goods at a local general store during the Great Depression.
From its early days, Two Egg slowly grew a small downtown district that included two stores, homes and a few other small businesses. The two stores remain today. One, the Pittman store, remained in business into the 1980s. The other, the Lawrence store, operated until after the year 2,000. Both, however, are closed today. But life goes on in this quaint little community and the folks that live in two egg wouldn't live anywhere else. Everyone is friendly and knows their neighbor. Two Egg is country living at it's best full of southern charm and hospitality.
