In the past year, we have been inundated with images of anger and despair, much of it related to the pain that many are feeling as a result of the deep recession in our economy. In this week of spirituality, it may be "meet and right" to take a few minutes to appreciate all that we have and are still meant to accomplish.

Our feelings have mirrored those of people grieving. In a sense we have witnessed the death of one economy and the birth of a new one. This recession has changed how we live. With loss, we experience  feelings of anger and worthlessness. The fact that we have 24 hours of breakiing news per day makes us feel that we are drowning in a sea of bad news, that we can do little to change. Ever the optimist, I think we have weathered the storm. I'm not saying that things are good. We have lots to pick up, throw away and repair. But we are here and we are alive and creative, and we will move forward.

Many of the Active Rain posts in the past year have been decidedly negative in tone. This is understandable, as there is a lot of anger over the government bailout, the new health care bill and the lack of clear direction in national policies on foreign relations, climate, immigration, and many other topics. In this week of peace and serenity, let's put some of that anger, stress and anxiety aside.

I am enbedding a UTube video emailed to me that I found to be profound in its beauty. It is appropriately called "Going Home", sung by the boys choir, Libera, of England. Of course it refers to our home in the sky, but mirrors the peace we want our clients to feel when they come home to their own abodes. Take five minutes to hear the music and experience a glimpse of heaven on earth.

I wish you a Happy Passover and Easter, surrounded by those you love.
