Elk Meadow/ Bergen Peak: Elk Meadow is one of the best Mountain Biking Trailsin the area if for no other reason than the location. The park sits directly across from Hiwan off of Evergreen Parkway, and boasts a wide array of terrain for all skill levels. The climb to Bergen Peak is one of the most technical climbs in Jefferson County, and the rolling single track in the meadow areas can't be beat. Wide trails mark the low land areas which is great for families or anyone looking for a less strenuous ride. Approximately 10 miles of total trails in the park.
Alderfer/ Three Sisters: This park is a lot of fun, with an inter-woven matrix of Mountain Biking Trails from easy to challenging. There are technical climbs as well as gradual hilly areas with fast and smooth single track. This park is my personal favorite because of the wide variety of terrain. The location of this Mountain Biking Trail is excellent, just down the road from Evergreen High School in south Evergreen.
Dedisse Park: This Mountain Biking Trailis shorter than Elk Meadow or Three Sisters, and some parts are difficult because of steep grades and loose rocks. Dedisse backs to Alderfer/ Three Sisters and can be entered from the Mountain Biking Trailsin that open space park. The trail winds for a few miles down the back side of Three Sisters and eventually makes it's way to the Evergreen Golf Course. On the other side of Upper Bear Creek Road, another 10+ acres of Dedisse Park make for a great family picnic area, although the paved paths on that side are not meant for mountain biking.
There are many other great Mountain Biking Trails in the area such as Lair O' The Bear, Mount Falcon, or Meyer Ranch, but these are the best that are located right in Evergreen. They can be reached by bike from most neighborhoods in Evergreen such as Hiwan Hills or Wah Keeney.
