Just wanted to write a quick post....
So I'm getting request from my clients for appraisals in Florida, central, SW and the Cocoa area.
I thought that we could form a little group here for easy reference to call each other and I will be linking to this group from several websites to help it with search engine rankings.
Typical post should be like a profile page or website page about your company.
Be sure to include your cities and counties.. as sometimes we dont know what city is for the county you may mention you cover.
Robert has submitted a great post with a map with his coverage areas shaded.. he's set the bar high.. a better outline to follow. :)
Here is a map of Florida Counties if you want to do something similar.
(quick sample that will get redone later)

Hi Nick
It's tough out there for an appraiser! I posted this a few days ago elsewhere concerning Landsafe and management companies.
I'm a real estate appraiser and have seen appraisal management companies like Landsafe operate since I started 17 years ago. They are like vultures and they typically charge borrowers $375 to $475 for an appraisal. They then turn around and find an appraiser who will work for the least money, typically an inexperienced appraiser is the patsy, and pays them $150 to $175. The management company pockets typically $200+ for doing nothing more than ordering an appraisal. Landsafe appraisal management is a subsidiary of Countrywide. So basically Countrywide the lender makes more money from the appraisal fee than the appraiser! Unbelievably, a new law goes into effect in 5/2009 which will now require an appraisal used in a loan sold to fannie mae to be ordered through a third party like Landsafe. The politicians have now effectively taken 50%+ of the appraisal fee and mandated that it be given to third party management companies like Landsafe.
