5 Secrets of Word of Mouth Marketing

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Real Estate Leads Prospector

Here is a good find from George Silverman's book on WOM - enjoy and hope we all have a great weekend!

   1.  Contrary to popular opinion, marketing is one of the noblest of all professions.

Don't accept - on any level - the idea that marketing is inherently sleazy.

Do realize that you are bringing customers products and services that makes their lives easier.

Do keep at the forefront of your mind the value that your product is specifically providing to the customer.  It

is the enthusiasm that comes from the value of your product that will help you come up with the reasons people

        should talk about it.

Do continually remind yourself that the customer is lucky to have your product, that you are providing value,

that you are doing a customer a favor by selling your product, just as much as the customer is doing himself

(not you) a favor by buying it.

Do think about what is so interesting about your product that people would actually want to talk about it with

other people.  Make sure that you have plenty of these word-of-mouth stimulators.

These are very nice thoughts to think about - especially what is going on in the market these days.  Agree?

The other 4 secrets will be for next week - Peace!

Very good,  I have met lots of Realtors who when in public seem to be ashamed that they are Realtors.  What sort of image does that pass on to your potential clients?  Why would they work with you, or feel that you are worth being paid for your work?  Be Proud to be a Realtor People, There is not any shame in doing honest work, and being paid for it.

James,  indeed let us keep our heads high.  In my line of being a mortgage telemarketer, I get a lot of curses. I think a stereotype picture has been painted already on homeowners minds.  Do they really think they can get 'valuable' information if not for us?

Lane,  i'd love to spill em out all here but let us squeeze all the juice from each point and get a healthy discussion going :)

Thanks for dropping by James and Lane.

I think sometimes REALTORS can feel like lawyers and maybe they want to talk about something other than the housing market for once.

Excellent stuff. I've been meaning to buy that book - think I will now, after reading this post.

And Jarv, I've just started doing some inside sales/telemarketing using a system called Unlock the Game by Ari Galper. So far, it works pretty well - not necessarily from a conversion standpoint, but from a "peace of mind" for you. Google him and his program if you're interested.

Somehow I am slow today Brian and I am missing your point :)

Hey Bob,  thanks for the tip.  Peace of mind surely is an expensive virtue in my line of work.

Thanks Brian and Bob for your ideas.
