Yesterday I said, "I quit!". With almost three months of working long grueling hours, I had finally reached my breaking point. It was time to go fishing. I wonder how others handle it? If they aren't as fortunate as I am to hop in a boat and take a short ride to paradise, where do they escape?
I have made it quite clear that I honestly believe there is no place on earth quite like Beautiful Beaufort. Yesterday confirmed that solid belief. Where else can you honestly say that what you leave is as beautiful as where you are wanting to go??
We loaded up the boat (which means fried chicken, plenty of bait, tons of sunscreen, and best friends) and headed out to the ocean.
The water was like glass! Dolphins were everywhere!!! They would swim next to us as if saying "It is about time you came back."
The pelicans were letting us know exactly where to find bait, and the sun danced all over the water in excitement.
This is one of those extremely rare occasions that I actually do NOT feel the need to speak.
In just over an hour, we reached one of our favorite fishing spots (shall remain nameless of course:). The first few casts let us know we had reached a most popular place. 
We decided to bottom fish because everyone knows Black Sea Bass is simply perfect grilled or fried. Within minutes we had enough for dinner!
What a wonderful experience, no worries, no pressure, no obligation. It was just me, my best friend, and all that God created to remind us the world literally doesn't revolve only around us.
It is an amazing feeling to be completely unplugged. I am certain everyone would feel better if they could just escape even if just for a few hours to see the beauty that I am so blessed to have at my disposal everyday.
I live in a painting, a fairytale, a lost city. I couldn't be happier. There are days I truly wish I could share it with the world; then there are days, I am happy the world hasn't found us yet.
If you have never been to Beautiful Beaufort by The Sea, you should come down, up, or over, you will be so happy you did. Bring your fishing pole, sunscreen, and senses.
