point of woods cherry hill njPoint of Woods: A Hidden Gem in Cherry Hill NJ Cherry Hill NJ has a neighborhood that few people know about; Point of Woods.

Point of Woods is bordered by Springdale and Greentree Roads. The neighborhood is directly across from the Cherry Hill Business Park on Springdale Road. If you have only driven past the signs which announce the neighborhood, then you have no idea what exists beyond the entrance. The initial portions of Point of Woods were built in 1968. The neighborhood features several styles of homes. The smallest homes features 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths to the largest model which features 5 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms.

The unique feature about Point of Woods is its mature trees. When this development was created, all of the existing trees were not removed before the homes were built. So it is not out of the ordinary to see 50-60 ft Oak and Maple trees. The resulting neighborhood is something not often found in modern subdivisions.

Another unique position is the proximity to major north-south , east-west roadways. Point of Woods is just minutes away from routes 70, 295, 73, 38 and the NJ Turnpike. At the edge of the neighborhood are J.F. Cooper elementary school and The Kings Christian School (elementary – high school). Point of Woods is just minutes from Voorhees, Moorestown, Marlton & Evesham. There so many shopping opportunities that residents have their choice. Want to go to Wegmans? You have two to choose from. How about Shoprite? You have two of those to choose from also. Home improvement? You can go to either Lowes or Home Depot. You say you want to go to the mall? You have several choices, the Cherry Hill Mall, Moorestown Mall, Garden State Park, The Promenade.

A 5 minute drive away from Point of Woods brings you to the new Towne Plaza at Garden State Park which features Cheesecake Factory, McCormick & Schmidt Steak House, Pie Wei, The Christmas Tree Shop, Home Depot, Wegman’s and many more stores.

A 5 minute drive in the other direction brings you to the newly renovated Cherry Hill Mall which features Nordstrom, Macys, JC Penney, The Container Store, Crate & Barrel, The Apple Store, Coach, Anne Taylor, Steve Madden as well of a host of restaurants including Maggiano’s Little Italy, Capital Grille and Bahama Breeze

Because of Point of Woods convenient location, there are several other shopping locations nearby; The Promenade in Marlton and Moorestown Mall are all within a short drive. Several grocery stores are also within a short drive;

Nice write up on the Point of Woods neighborhood in Cherry Hill NJ.  I love areas where the mature trees are preserved during a subdivision development; it makes a big difference in appearance or I should say curb appeal.

Leander-It is nice that some developers are willing to leave mature trees. Nice may be an overstatement since they really make of that by having higher charges for the remaining lots. It's business so somebody has to pay.
