Bring your camera, because it is not at all unusual to see a half dozen or more deer sleeping on someone's beautifully manicured front lawn.

The deer are so common that even the local dogs accept their presence, and respect their right to share the relaxed atmosphere of Colonial Valley.

The wild turkeys are also abundant, and you may see a deer standing on its' hind legs to steal an apple from your neighbor's tree while a family of turkeys lunch on the surrounding vegetation.

The Colonial Valley has a large network of wide paved roads, and offshoots of well maintained gravel roadways climb to home-sites on the ridges.

Colonial Valley has a small golf course if you'd just like to play a quick nine holes, although when you move to the Colonial Valley you soon learn that "quick" is seldom done, as time slows down once you're here.  People who live in this land of abundant beauty leave their stress outside.
