McDowell Mountain Ranch Park and Aquatic Center - Scottsdale AZ
The 35 acre McDowell Mountain Ranch Park sits at the entrance to the community of McDowell Mountain Ranch. The amenities of this park give not only the residents of McDowell Mountain Ranch more to enjoy but the people of Scottsdale as well.
The McDowell Mountain Ranch Park and Aquatic Center has a skate-park that is 16,000 square feet and is open to all skateboarders and in-line skaters. There are street like components to this park with ledges, planters, benches and tables all designed to for the skateboarder to utilize in doing tricks. This skate-park also has a bowl for skaters to drop into, which is 10 feet deep in it's deepest area.
The aquatic portion of the McDowell Mountain Ranch Park is used for all types of activities. With a 25 yard lap pool, and dive well with 4 diving boards (2 - 1 meter and 2 - 3 meter boards) this facility is used by the general public as well as high school and competitive teams. A large tube water slide and a 600 foot lazy river provide a ton of fun for kids as well as adults.
With a beach-like entry into another large play pool the interactive features are a great place for young kids to enjoy the water. And when you need a break from the water or sun there are plenty of places to sit in the shade either on a lounge chair or on one of the many grass areas overlooking the pools or lazy river.
Inside the McDowell Mountain Ranch Park you will find a fitness center with weights, dumbbells and cardio equipment. There is also a group exercise room where there are many classes offered either exercise, educational or health and wellness.
