OKAY, this looks very cool and I actually have time to pay attention ;-) Looking forward to this because I have been fooling around with my video camera and also imovie!
Thanks Brad, I will be signing up as I have in the last two weeks began experimenting with video. ARU has been alot of fun to attend, we need a school mascot though and idea's
Brad - Any idea when you will be able to get recordings up? Even if you can't do videos, audio would be great. So much valuable information would be learned by those who cannot attend due to client commitments.
I've just signed up and looking forward towards learning how to make Video a huge part of 2010 for me. I started it this year. The more I've been doing it, the more I've been comfortable in front of the camera.
Brad - I've been doing video for a long time and always willing to learn more...especially how to get more visibility, views and traffic. My video blogs always get more views than my regular ones so I know there's a lot to using video. I'm signing up for the webinar...thanks!
Brad, all the videos were great. The song with the pictures of you and your son was outstanding. Signed up. Been thinking about videos for several weeks so this is right on time.
I can never open up any videos that are posted on AR (hence my TLW-withdrawal symptoms). The link doesn't even come up. Nothing, nada, zip -- just white space. What the dillio? Help! Brad! Help! Please! -- Tanya in Montreal
I am registered Brad. Look forward to receiving some good info in making videos. Now, I have to work out the time difference for Newfoundland. I think you are 5 1/2 hours earlier.
What a great class! I REALLY want to go but have prior commitments! Are you going to re-run this class or will it be recorded so I can access it later?
Looking forward to this webinar. I just purchased a book on Youtube and video marketing. I know it is very important to do, so I can't wait to learn some new tricks!
Peyton Davidson, VP of Marketing and Social Media
All of my listings get a YouTube video and I've even shot some my local cities. People are generally visual by nature and video is definitely an enhancement to my marketing plan.
I would love to attend, but I have several conflicts at that time. I'm wondering if you will have it recorded and make it available for replay at another time and day.
I am looking forward to learning HOW TO IMBED in my Blog! Thinking about investing in a small digital video camera -- any suggestions on what to purchase? Anne in Austin
Sounds like there could be some great tips here. I could probably brush up on this. Hopefully I'll be able to attend... unless I'm selling a home of course. I have been off of Active Rain for a while. I am excited to see this University being offered.

Video taps in to more than the eyeballs, uses other senses brokers have left dormant for too many years. Slide shows are no 30 frames per sec video. No matter how you try to pretty them up with vertigo, hold on in and out Dramamine please smoke and mirrors. Or adding tunes, audio beds that are no way as powerful as you the local real estate expert. Your own voice, own words, one on one. You want connection right? You need video in the real estate arsenal..to trade in the pea shooter for a Gatling gun that works 24/7.
I agree with everything you said. Why are agents afraid to use my service? I have even offered free High-Def videos to build my portfolio but no takers. Are Real Estate Video Listings that scary?
Brad, as always, I'm really looking forward to this Webinar. Should be really good content. Oh, by the way, I'm guessing Black Hole got the 2MM views... also, that virtual RE office looked really cool....
Thanks everyone for the great comments, I'm looking forward to Wednesday's class and sharing some really great stuff with ya'll. We do try to record these sessions and will eventually create and have an archive library available. Until then, we will be doing some repeats of the classes and sessions that are in high demand, this being one of them.
I'm sorry I can't reply to each of your comments here today, but during the ARU sessions, many questions will get answered regarding video cameras, embedding styles and techniques etc, and the chat box will be open to the first 100 attendees that show up. We currently have over 200 signed up for this class so come early if you want to take advantage of that chat option.
We also have a Q&A toward the end of the class, so feel free to use that option as well. Here's a little video trick we'll show you as well, how to embed a video in the comments of your Blog post.
Brad, That is a great presentation of videos! Even though my favorite is the Phillips, Craig & Dean song (wiping tears).. I would guess the Black Hole has the most views on YouTube...
Will you be offering this class any other time? My son is in town for Spring Break & we are going golfing on Wednesday afternoon!
I am having so much fun with video! Just signed up because I'm always open to new ideas. Check out my channel at YouTube.com/MovingToNova for my listing videos, and more coming soon to my blog!!! So excited!
Webinar sounds great. However, it does not mesh with evening meetings with clients in EDT time zone. Will this webinar be archived for later availability?
I will try to record this for the archive library which we hope to have up someday soon, in the meantime, I will also do a repeat class in the near future at a different time since many of you can't make this one.
I'm really excited to announce that we have over 300 already signed up and registered. There are still a few seats left...
Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow, thanks. :-)
Brad, my hat's off to you guys. You keep coming up with the best topics at these webinars. The ones I've attended have been great. This one looks really useful but I've got a conflict in my schedule. Rats.
I have signed up but now don't know if I will be able to make it. I will be listing a property about 2 hours before, hope I can make it back. I watched the hole video, mesmerizing, couldn't stop watching.
OMG so much info I am going to overload. If anyone needs to you need to write a book on all the information you have sent out in your blogs. I will buy several one for me and each one of my team!
Ok, I don't know about everyone else, but sniff, sniff - that one with your little boy got me! How beautiful and that just has to be the one that got so many hits! Thanks for sharing these.
You are the man! I first learned from you how to embed YouTube videos into my blog. And, just recently. I have learned how to convert a virtual (slide) tour into YouTube format, but I haven't actually shot videos for real estate. Perhaps this class will help me do it. See you there.
This is going to be a great class, thanks to so many of you who signed up and can make it.
I've just added a couple really cool tools and hot tips for today's session, I think you'll all be very pleased with today's class and the value it will bring to your blogs and business. For those who can't be there, I will do a repeat, or try to make a video recording available sometime in the near future. Thanks again for supporting ARU in our mission to be the "Best" learning and training online campus on the web. :-)
Hi Brad...I've been using YouTube for my Video's for a while, Good Stuff.... last week I did a walk through my latest listing..turned out not bad, I also posted the Video in a post here.
Bummmer I wish I could make your webinar today..let me know if you are recording it and saving it for review.
Brad You Rock my Friend thank you soooo Much for all your Support and Help, Love to Spend a day or two with you to learn more.
PS did you recomment an easy to use editing software
I'm thinking it's the one with the water--first one on the right hand side. Anyway, I get your point that video is important. After reading Crush It!, I know that I should use it a lot more than I do.
Hey all, I recorded this session to share with you, but my computer kept wanting to "update" and restart during the class and recording session. I kept hitting the button "retart later" and all of a sudden my computer just restarted on it's own. All that to say this, unfortunately I lost the recording of this class but will do a repeat in the next week or two for those of you who couldn't make it.
I apologize profusely for the inconvenience not to mention I'm a little pissed off at Microsoft for taking matters into their own hands and disregarding my intructions until the video was fully downloaded. Thanks for understanding, I'll setup another repeat webinar shortly.
I love your comment on the video with the most hits is not the one you think it is. Half of the big challenge is to figure out a bit of creativity and how to entice folks. Video helps. I know, I know I need to do more!!!
Thanks Lori - it was fantastic having you there. I missed most of the chat since I was busy flapping my jaws in the breeze during the class, but after, I did get a chance to go back and read some of it. I'd have to say ya'll were having more fun than a group should be aloud to have during a class. Wait a second....was anyone even paying attention to the professor??? hahaha~
Now I'm really starting to sound like a teacher... OMGosh!! lol~
One of the things we talked about today was spreading your videos around and getting additional exposure. This post is a great testiment to just another way of exposing your videos to other audiences and traffic. I used these videos just as a sample for this post, but due to the amount of views and the number of comments, each of these videos have risen up and increased in not only views, but clicks, replays, forwarding, etc. making them somewhat viral no? Add to that fact, the 9 Reblogs, and there you have it. A great way to use your ActiveRain Blog and youtube video to increase traffic, new visitors, and get greater exposure to a "larger than your own" audience. I hope this make sense cents?
A Special thanks to all of you who could make it today, and also to these 9 friends for reblogging my post, I love you man!! :-)
Here's another way to get video's out there, if you use gmail, the attached videos will show up in the receivers email and can also be watched right there within the email. That's a pretty cool way to share videos with those still using email. :-))
Hey Rich - this one was on the 7th, but we are doing another next wednesday for those who missed this one. Here's a link to the ARU Calendar where you can register. Not sure where you got the 20th though, look forward to seeing you next week.
At first I always thought that Youtube was where concert videos and music videos went, I didn't see the real value in it. But recently I have been doing a lot with Youtube videos. Now I can see why they are so popular and help out so much!
