Celebrity sightings in Hanalei (by my niece) include Matthew McConaughey surfing in the bay, Ben Stiller drinking coffee at Javakai and Laird Hamilton & Gabrielle Reece playing volleyball in the sand. But the real celbrities are the winter waves in Hanalei. The biggest waves and the big wave riders are out in force during the winter months.

Summer months in Hanalei are great for canoe paddling, kayaking, stand up paddling ,swimming, fishing or just enjoying the Beach. There's lots of places to shop in Hanalei, Ching Young Village & Hanalei Surf Company are some of my favorites.
