Boat parade set for bridge opening day
On Saturday, August 25, 2007, Treasure Island celebrates one of its most long-awaited moments, the official opening of the new Treasure Island C.W. "Bill" Young Bascule Bridge, with a community boat parade. Boaters wishing to be part of the parade should contact parade leader Les Lathrop, Treasure Island Tennis and Yacht Club Dock master, at 727-367-4511.

The new bridge was a huge project, but I think they did a fantastic job and on time.
