Caughlin Glen - Cozy Neighborhood on a Comfortable Budget

Looking for a home for sale in Caughlin Ranch that won't stretch your budget to the max? As you enter lower Caughlin Ranch from the east on Caughlin Parkway, the first neighborhood on your right is the development of Caughlin Glen. This neighborhood of small cottages is both cozy and affordable.

Homes here are a bit smaller than some other Caughlin Ranch neighborhoods, ranging in size from approximately 1300 - 1900 square feet. Prices for homes currently (spring '10) listed for sale start in the mid $200,000s. The smallest homes are single story, while most of the rest have two levels; depending on the location in the neighborhood, this may be a typical two-story configuration or a finished daylight walkout lower level.

Amenities in the neighborhood revolve around outdoor living. Most units have either a patio or a balcony for enjoying the beautiful Caughlin Ranch common area. Homes on the west side back up to a broad expanse of common area with tall trees, a seasonal creek and a paved walking trail.

The Caughlin Glen walking trail connects up with sidewalks along McCarran Blvd, providing a short stroll to the businesses at McCarran and Mayberry. Buenos Grill, featuring delicious Mexican food prepared from the freshest of ingredients, is a popular spot for a quick dinner out. Whispering Vine wine shop is a long-time favorite here, providing an extensive wine selection and frequent tastings and parties. Walden's Coffee House serves delicious food and coffee drinks all day long but is especially popular for weekend brunch, as well as live music performed by local artists in the evenings. Backstube is a favorite with local cyclists, serving up yummy, Austrian-style pastries. An eclectic collection of shops completes the stylish center.

For a more strenuous jaunt, the trail connects into the extensive Caughlin Ranch walking trail system, permitting walkers or runners to climb all the way to the top of Caughlin Ranch and beyond.
