Baldwin County Airport and Subdivision
I love to fly, I always have. One of these days I'm going to sign up for flying lessons so that I can drive the plane and not just be a passenger. But for now, I just ride. But only because I have to do so. I don't ride in a car with anyone, I insist on being the driver (just ask my husband ) who has riden cross country with me 4 times.
If you are a pilot and have a private plane you might want to consider a beautiful subdivision at Lake Sinclair that has an airport. Now you will not see any 747s landing here and there are no commercial flights in or out, but the airport information can be found here to see if your plane can fly in and out of the Milledgeville Airport.
The Airport Subdivision is on a beautiful part of Lake Sinclair located on north Baldwin County. The lake location is where Reedy Creek flows into the main body of the Oconee making for some of the longest and most spectacular views on Lake Sinclair. There are both waterfront and off water homes available in Airport
Subdivision. The entrance to Airport Subdivision is just a mile from US Highway 441 in North Baldwin County. Shopping and schools are but a 5 minute drive away.
Prices of homes in Airport Subdivision currently on the market start as low as $189,900. for off water and there is a waterfront lot that is over 2 acres with more than 200 feet of shoreline that is cleared for a home and already has a dock and boathouse in place for $650,000. There are some very nice homes in Airport subdivision currently on the market both off water and water front right on Lake Sinclair. Here are a selection of homes currently on the market in the Airport Subdivison.
The Country Club of Milledgeville is just a short drive away as well if you play golf or tennis. Many wonderful restaurants are within a 5 to 10 minute drive as well. The Airport Subdivision is also restricted to site built homes
and many of the lots are over an acre, some over 2 acres both on and off water. The Airport Subdivision has long been popular with buyers making resale chances greater also. Some of the streets that can be found in Airport Subdivision are Lakeview Drive, Airport Road, Newport Road, Lakeport Road and Lake Shore Drive. And you get to enjoy Lake Sinclair living and be just a short drive from historic downtown Milledgeville, yet still within a 2 hour drive to Atlanta. It's a great area for full time living or a wonderful weekend get-a-way. Baldwin County fire station # 2 is located right at the entrance to the subdivision for great fire protection and it also helps with home owners insurance rates. Call me today for an appointment to see any of these homes today.

I am actually looking forward to the day I have a referral for you. I know they'll be in good hands.
I appreciate that Philip and I hope you know I feel just the same way about you, it's obvious in getting to know you and reading about the way you run your company that clients would get five star treatment from you.
Hi Tammy, I guess I'd rather fly the plane than be a passenger too! The Airport Subdivision sounds terrific for those who fly and even those who don't. We have an airstrip in Crystal Lakes but I don't know if it's used anymore - it was Ok flying in, but a little tricky flying out :-)
Tammy, enjoyed reading this localism post on the Airport subdivision. For those who have private airplanes sounds like a great place to live. My brother lived on a lake in TN where he could fly his helicopter to his house.. That was pretty neat to see as a child.
Mary- Not sure I want to take off if it's tricky?! LOL We also used to have a runway in Eatonton, but it closed years ago. Once when I was a teenager I drove my daddy's car really really fast down the runway. (And lived to tell about it)
Rebecca- We used to have an owner on the lake who would land his helicopter on his dock and it was VERY cool to watch. Must have been very cool to get places quick with your own helicopter. I want one.
