Unique ways of branding.... well you!

Okay we all have heard about branding and it's importance but how many different ways can you brand yourself? There are countless numbers of ways below are just a few of the ways to get you started this is by no means an all inclusive way. Think outside of the box when it comes to doing this, hey if Donald Trump and Paris Hilton can do it so can you!! Now I know none of these are ideas that have never been thought of or mentioned before but sometimes it is nice to get a reminder as to what we should be doing. 

Letterhead

To start this list off I am going to start with one of the most obvious your letterhead. I know you are saying well yeah, duh! But how many of you actually have a letterhead? You will be surprised to find out than many business professional do not have a letterhead. Well I am here to tell you need to have a professional letterhead and you should be sending personal messages and such to clients via US mail (not just email) and when you do you need to use your letterhead or a personalized note card, thank you card something of the sort all of which should be branded and match your letterhead. 

Stamps

Next do you have your own stamp?  If you visit Stamps.com they offer personalized stamps of which you could put your logo and website address on. Just another way of branding your company for all to see. You should be doing direct mail campaigns and the such so why not use these neat little stamps to help market and brand.

E-Mails

Another way is your email not only should you be using your signature line in your emails but did you know you can brand your emails just like you would regular letterhead?? It is a cost effective way of not only branding but marketing for your company.  Some companies that do this are:

Checks

Your Checks! Yes checks you know the things you use to pay bills. Are you utilizing the extra lines on customizing your checks. Most companies offer place above the signature line to add two lines of information. You could add your website address, blog address, email address, company moto, the possibilities are endless. 

Address Labels or Stamp

What about your return address stamps and or labels? Do you have your website listed on your stamp or labels? Do you have your logo or picture on these? Or maybe you have your email address listed? Right, no! Well why not? This is another great way of marketing that is not going to cost you much at all, I mean think about it you are already purchasing labels for have purchased the stamp why not add the extra line or your logo

Car

Okay I know some people go a little overboard and get the full body painting of what their company is but when you see the car don't you look? I know I do so it is doing what it was supposed to do, right you noticed the car. Now I don't advise people to do this not only is it costly it can get a little boring after a while. But you can get a magnet that you attach to the side of your car. Or you can also get vinyl lettering on the windows or even get a personalized license plate.  These are all affordable ways of marketing that you could change the message fairly easily and economically if you would like.

Invoices

If you send out invoices to your clients are you utilizing the white space on your invoices?  Now I am not saying to clutter the invoice to where it is just so hard to read. But you can put a simple message about a discount or something that you may be offering to redeem clients should visit your website. If using Quickbooks this can be easily changed whenever you please.

Birthday Cards and Thank You Cards

Now by now you should be all sending out birthday cards and thank you notes but are you adding your business cards in them when you send them out?? If not you should be this is a great way to make sure that your clients still have your card as they may have lost it and oh look there is another one in the mail in their card. Now you know they are not going to throw the card right in the trash no they are going to open it and most likely save your card. If they already have your card they have an extra one or two to hand out to friends and family. 

Blog

Now I know how much Active Rainers are big fans of blogs!! So why not brand your blog?? You could do it just like an email that you would brand. This should be fairly easy to do and is a good way of marketing and branding you for little effort and many times no cost (if you have the right software). 

Another idea that comes to mind there is a Realtor® here in Fountain Hills that calls her self the purple lady. She drives two purple cars this is a very distinct purple and she also has personalized plates on both cars. She wears purple and everything is purple, purple, purple and it seems to work for her. So think outside of the box even a color can be yours if you want it to be.  So get out there and start branding you after all you are one of your most important assets.
