Active Rain got us Published!!! It's out!

I was so excited when the mail came on Saturday and my new issue of Texas Realtor Magazine published by Texas Association of Realtors had finally arrived! I must admit that I usually do not look over this publication as much as I should, but this one is special. I had been contacted by one of the writers concerning a blog post I made. He wanted to write about what I had posted here on Active Rain in his magazine article!

Of course, my husband took it and looked through it first. He couldn't find the article, (or so he said...) "That Brandon guy just took your idea and ran with it", he teased. I'm so gullible I believed him. That mean man!

Later I got the magiziene out of his hand and found the article right away! THERE IS WAS!!!

The author of the piece is Brandon Alderete. He was so nice. He sent me the copy for my broker and me to review before it went to print. He wrote a great piece.

Brandon referenced a couple of other famous Active Rainer's. Most mentioned is one of my Great State of Texas top AR guys, Jason Crouch. He deserves the credit, because if you follow him at all, he has massive amounts of information out there to help his fellow Realtors and Brokers learn to use electronic means to grow your business. I really can not believe I was mentioned in the same article as him!

Then he goes on to discuss strategies that Amy Smythe-Harris uses in her Facebook posts. Very good advice, by the way.

The last major section of the article is Local Expert? You bet. This is my section. It is about how I started my Crosby, TX Facebook Fan Page to promote Crosby.

I must compliment Brandon Alderete. He was SO professional. He called me yesterday to see if I recieved my copy of the publication and offered to send me extra copies. He was AWESOME and he needs a RAISE.

Thank you Brandon, for your great writing skills and for doing such a great job or researching the article and being so nice and open as you referenced me and others. My entire brokerage is very excited about being mentioned. We work hard together to be the best, most up-to-date and technically savvy brokerage possible. It is good to be recognized, and we certainly all deserve the recognition, not just me.

I can't believe that I've only been a REALTOR for six months and I am already mentioned in a REALTOR publication, already on the first page of Active Rain bloggers in Harris County. (If you are not from 'round here... Harris County is HUGE and there are thousands of agents working this beat.)

I cannot believe HOW MUCH I and those around me get from my work on my blog. This is a great forum. It is well worth the time and effort. I learn SO much from others here on Active Rain. So, Thanks to the great guys here at Active Rain, as well!
