Geneva, IL Has Beautiful Parks and Forest Preserves located in and near the many great neighborhoods and subdivisions. One of the top requests from buyers considering the area is that the home be located near the beautiful parks and forest preserve facilities.

Most people from the area know that the Fox River runs through Geneva and is that is the key to saying that Geneva, IL Has Beautiful Parks and Forest Preserves.

The Fabyan Forest Preserve is located on the east side of the Fox River and features the 150 year old restored Fabyan Windmill. The Windmill is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. The restoration of the windmill was completed in 2005 at the cost of over $900,000. Kids in Geneva know that the Windmill is also the site of a great sledding hill. After a fresh snowfall there will be hundred of kids (of all ages and sizes) sledding and even snow boarding. The little kids are safe on the left side of the hill closest to the Windmill and the older kids move off to the right to practise their snow boarding tricks.

The Fox Run subdivision is located just north of the Fabyan Forest Preserve. Fox Run is home to 92 custom and semi-custom 752 Fox Run Drhomes set on a bluff overlooking the Fox River. Homes in Fox Run are priced from about $500,000 to $800,000. This home at 752 Fox Run Drive backs to the Fabyan Forest Preserve and just went under contract in only 30 days. The home was built by John Henry Homes and is very well priced at $675,000.

Another place that people think of when they say that Geneva, IL Has Beautiful Parks and Subdivisions is the Japanese Tea Garden. This lovely garden is located on the west side of the Fox River on the grounds of the former Fabyan Estate. The garden offers tranquil vistas and peaceful spots not usually associated with a suburban park or forest preserve district. Many Geneva brides plan their weddings to make sure that a photo session can be done at the Japanese Tea Garden.

The neighborhoods just to the west of the Fabyan Villa Museum and Japanese Tea Garden include homes ranging from charming cottages to stately homes on Meadows Road and Easton Avenue. These homes are considered among the most desirable in Geneva, thanks to proximity to the Geneva, IL Beautiful Parks and Forest Preserves.

Leslie, I lived in Bartlett, IL previously and this is indeed a beautiful area.  I remember driving past that wind mill many times.  Brought back fond memories.
