I am always looking for new ways to save money. Many schools and business including Microsoft Corp. are switching the font when they print. Fonts like Century Gothic and Times New Roman use 30% less ink than Arial. Making this simple switch can lead to roughly one less ink cartridge you buy a year at home and an even greater savings at the office. Whenever possible try not to print at all, if you must print try a font that uses less ink and print using both sides of a page.

Great idea Alex, I have never thought of that, but it makes perfect sense!

Alex - great tip. I always use both sides of the sheet, but I never thought of looking into how much ink a particular font uses. Thanks for sharing.

Good tip Alex.  Also keep your cover sheets simple when faxing, some of them require an enormous amounts of ink to print.

Good blog Alex.  Maybe we can solve global warming by using less ink.
