Buda TX Sportsplex

Nestled along the Interstate 35 corridor between Austin and San Marcos TX, you

The Central Texas climate is moderate compared to most areas of Texas and the
rest of the South. While humidity rarely approaches that of Houston, Dallas, or even
San Antonio, it can get pretty muggy in Buda during the summer. The good news is,
there is often a gentle breeze to temper the heat, and always plenty of
places to visit that feature lots of trees to find some shade in which to relax.

Buda falls into the Home Rule City category, which is led by a Council-Manager form of
government.
Public servants are elected citywide and elected members must reside within
the city limits. Buda became an official city in 1948, although the town was formally
established on April Fool's Day 1881 when land for a town site was donated by Cornelia
Trimble at a railroad depot here. The area was originally settled by Phillip Allen as
part of the Mexican land grant to Stephen B. von Eggleston around 1846.

Cabela's in Buda TX

Community spirit abounds here in Buda TX, with the nationally-known Wiener Dog Races in
April
and Budafest in December of each year. There are numerous parks in the area, and
lots of fun, old-fashioned shops downtown to discover. A new Post Office opened in late 2009,
and a Cabela's is one of the most visual landmarks that greets those who approach Buda TX from I-35.

Hi Aaron!  WOW!  Now, THAT'S a Localism post!  Great job!  Love the photos and the graphs--something I need to do more of but, it's time-consuming for me--I can't pop them out like Renee can!

And, hey, I love your new photo--too cute!

Hey Debe!

Thanks very much. I worked hard on this one. Izzy loves to fly kites, and she loves Cabela's, so it worked out.
