Brad AndersohnActive Rain University is a brand new feature and benefit of Active Rain. Today Brad Andersohn gave a presentation on How to Use Video and YouTube to Enhance Your Blog and Business. What a great learning experience.

I attend (or start out with) a lot of webinars, and most of them are pretty Ho-Hum (after all, it's really difficult with technology to keep both the newbies and the knowitalls happy). They may have some great pearls of wisdom, but I've generally tuned them out so that I miss them if they're there.

First, I tuned in at 2 pm, after arranging my day around that - oops, yes, it DID say PST or Pacific time.  So - back to my computer at 5 pm. It was well worth it.

Yes, I've heard before how to post on YouTube - but this was filled with so many things that aren't self evident, tips and tricks of the trade. How to stand out from your competition by clicking or unclicking a radio button ... how to embed the videos in your blog, and how to line them up if you want multiples ... how to change the main photo ... how to be found by more viewers ... how to put it in your sidebar, in your profile, even in your gmails!

Thanks, ActiveRain and thanks, Brad, for all the help and knowledge. I'll look forward to seeing this online and to your new lineup of programs.

Hi Sharon, How are you?

I am sorry I missed that presentation but perhaps Brad recorded it. He usually does. He and Bob Steart gave a great presentation at the all day VREBC on-line event yesterday. I took off the whole day and it was so worth it. The material was outstanding.

I missed this one too but really need the info! I'm a little intimidated to try video! We use visual tours but not video per se. Looking forward to seeing this one online as well!

Sorry I missed this one. There's only so much one can do in a day.  I wish they would record the classes so we can participate after the fact.

It's my understanding that the session was recorded and will be on the university site.

William - I'm fine, thanks for asking. I enjoyed the VREBC sessions, too, but found this session even more valuable than those.

Debbie - I've been putting that off, too, which is why I attended.

Kristal - totally agree. I hate being tied to a particular time and prefer taking them from a library when I can fit them in.

Sharon, I also missed this one. It would be great if they could record them ~ maybe Brad will write a blog about it so those of us who didn't get there can still learn his tips. Frank is always complaining about the photo that shows up on videos, so he would be thrilled to learn how to change them.

Sharon - there would be too much information for a blog, so hopefully a recording will be posted.
