The Power of Thought - What we Think is What We Get.

What We Think is What We Get

The slow economy and diminished consumer confidence has certainly had a detrimental impact on our Real Estate business.  They "moved our cheese" and we have had to adjust to fewer closings and significantly more appointments before we generate a transaction.  We have had to educate ourselves on new Real Estate realities such as short sales, foreclosures, fha financing rules, new appraisal regulations and consumer distrust in the value of Real Estate.   So, how do we cope?

After we have learned, trained, adjusted and put all this into action, there still is missing a significant task.  What we think and what thoughts we focus on is the key to the outcome of all that we do.

Thoughts are really a type of energy that direct your mood and your attitude and have a strong impact on the things you do, the decisions you make and the people you attract. With the challenges of the Real Estate market today it is even more important to keep our thoughts positive and focused.positive thought

Start out each day with a "gratitude" list.  Make a list of all that you are grateful for.  It is easy for us to complain and list the things that are negative, things that went bad, but it is SO important that we make a list daily of the good things in our lives.  It is immediately mood lifting to recognize and appreciate the things that we are grateful for; in our personal lives, in our business, and in all that we do.

After your "grateful" list, sit quietly and REALLY visualize thoughts that would bring you happiness and success - see the outcome, feel the finish line, "enter" the realization of your goals.  This will remind you that the power to change adversity into opportunity lies within you.  You have the power to change your future.

Please take the time today to be grateful, to visualize the thoughts you desire, to "plant" them in your mind and keep them there.  Focus on those thoughts all day.  Eliminiate words like "I can't"  "I should have"  "I didn't"  "I wasn't".  Replace with "I can" , "I do" and "I am".  Don't find fault, find the blessing.  Don't complain, be grateful.

Thinking and living positive thoughts will help you, your family and friends and will definitely help your clients.  If you want reinforcement on these ideas, please watch or listen to "The Secret", available at www.thesecret.tv, or read books on The Law of Attraction.  You won't be sorry.  You will be grateful!
