Mount Airy Casino Resort will soon include table games thanks to the approval of its' request by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Games such as Blackjack, Craps and different variations of Poker could soon be in the works as the Casino plans to expand the gaming floor. The hotel has been running near full occupancy on weekends prior to this announcement, according to Mount Airy spokespeople. The table games are expected to create over 250 jobs and bring increased revenues to both Mount Airy and the entire Pocono region. The casino also plans to double the number of rooms from the 200 it currently operates. The Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, also was granted its' request for table games as well, and that should bring the same job and economic growth to the Bethlehem/Lehigh Valley area as well.
