When you live in a small Northern Maine town called Houlton, in Aroostook County, it is neat to be noticed by the nation. Broadcast into homes coast to coast.

fentimens victorian lemonade Thanks to a clip on a show like the Stephen Colbert Report. Watch the video clip from the Comedy Channel network and see a glimpse of the area I serve which is parked on the Canadian border of New Brunswick.

Half of my relatives are from Canada so when the media sharpens an axe between nations, this disclaimer that Canadians and Mainers in our area do get along well. Border crossing a lot, in my case with two boys who played 98% of their minor games in the province of New Brunswick. The news organizations have picked up on the story and added, embelished and played with the story on a world and national stage during a slow news day.

The publicity both hard news and soft comedy tongue in cheek productions help the lemonade sales of Fentimens Victorian Lemonade and also get folks to look for Houlton Maine on the map. Reactions to the news are as varied as colors in the rainbow to the same news story that took on a life of its own. Maine, simple, family oriented, hardworking people in four season outdoor recreational paradise.

Thanks Cal. Figure it will increase their sales but I think O'Douls, the non-alcoholic beer has .5% alcohol in it. http://www.odouls.com/ Marc. Thanks for the heads up. Colbert always always puts a unique, different way of looking at it over the top treatment that is a whole new approach than mainstream media.
