One kitchen shot from a stairway? I like the two angles..images are eye candy, speak without words. Great home listing.

Steve:  Ahhh... I remember vividly my days in Centreville, VA... selling new townhouses for Scarborough Homes (which became Winchester Homes.)  The community was located just off 28... just before you go over the bridge into Manassas.  Crofton Commons.  Have you ever sold any resales there ?

I remember in the Spring and Summer of 1987... that place was just smokin'... as it were.  You could not build them fast enough.  In April and May of 1987... I sold 35 of them.  Not a bad two months... LOL.

Steve... this townhouse is just gorgeous.  I am sure it will make some new family very happy.  Just where in Centreville is it located ?

Andrew,

Thanks! More photos coming when we build the website tomorrow. Music too! Whoo Hoo! Our clients spent a lot of money getting this baby ready for market.

Karen,

This IS a gorgeous floor plan. It is located off Stone road across from Sully Station near Braddock road on the Chantilly side of Centreville.

I have shown many resales in Crofton Commons but have yet to sell one. Centreville has been blasted with short sales and forclosures as has Manassas and Sterling. In 2008 we sold 4 Centreville REOs.

Thanks for coming by!

Steve:  Looking at the inside... and seeing how roomy it was... I WONDERED if it might be near Sully Station.  I sold new townhomes there for The Milton Company in Sully Station in 1978.  They were absolutely great homes... a real pleasure to show and sell.  Best of luck with it.

By the way... the Crofton Commons townhouses... three different models... when brand new in 1987 sold for 97,900 - 99,900 - and the end units 102,900.  The last time I saw one of them was three years ago... selling for $339,900.  I thought the whole world had gone crazy when I saw that.  I drove from Fort Worth... up to Reston for a seminar... and just for fun, drove through Crofton Commons for old time's sake.

Karen,

Crofton Commons has fallen from those highs in 2005-6 to 3 units for sale there now from $229k-265k.

Thanks Mary! We have high hopes of selling this quickly. The one we brought to market in Reston last Saturday at $350k went under contract today. We had the same crew renovate both homes...they did an awesome job. Market is tight here for regular non-short sale properties.

Hello Steve, I'm still amazed at the prices these properties command, but I guess it goes with the area.  Anyway it's a great looking place and I too like the picture of the kitchen from the stairway.

Bill,

we were very happy with these paint choices...we are trying to come up with a standard palette for use in the renovations we supervise. I am experimenting with a ladder for those properties with no good stair shots.

Nick, all the counties we work in are in the top 20 of national median income. Loudoun is #1, Fairfax is #2.......That is good and bad. High pay but bad traffic and high home prices. A government guy moving from here to Huntsville can live like a king!!!

Jason,

Thank you. Jan is doing an open house in Vienna while I hold this one open. The weather report looks good!

Florida temperatures 80-90! Thanks for stopping by
