16 Comments on Thankful Thursday- Rain, glorious rain and my sweet husband
Nice post...good to remember our "nearest and dearest"!
I have never seen a pollen cloud, Wow Tammy! This is a very nice post in honor of your loved one, Donald! He sounds like a great guy!
Tammy--I am smiling. Thanks for a touching post. Good husbands are priceless and irreplacable.
Enjoy.
Tammy
That's a lot of pollen.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Li- he is certainly MY dearest.
Mary- You got that right. And I had others to compare.
Wanda- I've lived here forever and that was a first for me as well. This is the worst I've ever seen the pollen.
Lou- It certainly was.
Tammy, I have a yellow car now and lungs to match. So glad it doesn't affect me too much!
Hi Tammy, I'm happy that you have rain! That will keep the pollen down! and flowers and a wonderful husband are definitely good things to be thankful for :-)
Kevin- We sold a house this week to clients from Naples, they were very happy when I said I'd NEVER seen the pollen this bad.
Mary- me too, it's really coming down right now and I came home from work and Donald made dinner. Today was just perfect.
Tammy - WOW! Can't say I've ever seen a pollen cloud either but I have on occasion been thankful for the rain. Kind of wierd that it's windy in your part of the world too. Today the Santa Ana's were kicking up and that's not a good sign around here. Santa Ana winds are hot winds and better known as fire winds. That's when we pray for rain.
Donne- I wonder if they were down in San Diego too. My mother in law said with all the rain they got earlier in the season there is PLENTY of fuel for fires this season. As much as I don't like the smoke when they are happening... I'm very thankful they do controlled burns in our forests to keep the fire fuel down in the dry season.
Tammy, we get that sometimes here and oh I just can't stand it. Glad it rained, glad you got the plants done, funny about the money tree, LOL, and of course I smiled about your hubby.
Your posts always make me feel good, well, ok, sometimes a few made me shed a tear or two, but I always feel good!!!!
Yikes ! Allergy Central !
Thank goodness for a little rain to clear some of the thickness !
... and the other good news is that you went from blue toes to yellow toes !!!! Nice !
I've had it for years Andrea and I'm taking it as a good sign it's trying to grow... it hasn't done much the past three years. When we moved into the new office it didn't adapt to the change very well.
Sheldon- yes, thank goodness, because we were having to chew our air before we could breathe it. And yes, I look less like Smurfette and more like... Marge Simpson
HAHAHAHAHAH !!!!!
There was a story in the paper last Sunday about preparing for what is expected to be the worst pollen and allergy season in many years.
Shelton- happy to entertain
Jim- I never remember it this bad, but I did hear on our local news, that although intense it should also be shorter than normal.
