My family and I are big "get out there" kind of people. We work hard, and we've learned how to balance out that hard work with relaxation time. We love to explore our world around us, and have done so many times via RV since our youngest was born. That kid has been with us while we put over 60,000 miles on that RV, plus more on the one we had before this RV.
Since moving from Southern California to Southern Oregon, we've done our fair share of exploring our new homeland in the RV, and also by car on day trips. But there is SO MUCH to do in our own area in around the Rogue River Valley, we haven't even put a dent in our list of things to do and places to see. If we drive two hours in any given direction, there are still a LOT of points of interest we want to explore. We have yet to make it to Diamond Lake, one of the favored winter play spots in an area filled with natural beauty.
Since gas prices crept up and since we got our boat, we find the RV just sits waiting for us to prime it up and hit the road. It drove me nuts seeing it sit there not being used. Since we have had so many wonderful experiences and happy memories in it, I thought the time may come to let another family build their memories in it. My husband thought differently (imagine that...spouses having opposing views on a point ;->!) For two years, I've kept my husband apprised of the expenses we paid out on the RV, reminding him of the last time it went out.I've also gently reminded him - okay, maybe not so gently sometimes - that on these vacations, I still get to cook and clean - woohoo!
Today is the end of a saga. We'll be exploring our lovely Oregon territory - but, in the Prius! And looking forward to hearing tell of the new owner's experiences...and having someone else cook and clean most of the time!
See you out there!
