The Listing Agent has given up - Now what to do on this Short Sale...

I have a buyer with the patience of 100 people.  We have had a contract since early October.  There are 2 banks; one of which is our favorite - Bank of America.

It has been months and months of waiting and continued follow-up.  The listing agent takes longer and longer to respond to my requests for updates.  I now belive he has simply given up.

The bank won't talk to us.  He doesn't seem to want to put in (the perhaps futile effort) to get the bank to answer.

If the agent didn't have the tenacity, skill and pure guts to see this thing through - he should have never taken the listing.  Now what?  I suppose we will go to his broker and see if there is any support there.  However, knowing what I know about the office he works for; I am not going to hold my breath.

<sigh>

I feel your pain. My client submitted a bid on a foreclosure back in December. Two listing agents later we are STILL in limbo

Bummer that you can't call on it.... wishing you luck. That's not a nice position to be in.
