Always make sure you're up to the challenge. Take stock in your abilities and know your limitations. There is nothing wrong with asking for help when needed and it's quite probable you will learn something along the way. Recently it seems that persons in this business are questioning themselves about whether or not they have the "gumption" to continue being in this profession. This economy is not the first to create an exodus for many of our comrades. It's a cycle that permeates the generations. If you are beginning your career or have recently done so, know that you must have a plan and be ready for an inevitable market decline at some point in your business. It will happen, guaranteed! Please do not make your plan a mental one. It must be written and reviewed often in order to be successful. There have been many young, aspiring associates enter the field with fabulous ideas in tow who never strived to implement them. Your idea remains just that until acted upon. What better time than now to enact your winning plan. Most important, KEEP SMILING!
Love the picture! There are many filing cabinets filled with great ideas that were never implemented. Great post!
You photo gave me a big smile, very cute. Yep, write it down to make it really happen and to visualize it, good advise.
great advice Kevin - written goals and visual reminders of your business plan on a regular basis leave little time for focus on distractions:)
sincerely,
grace
Mary, Christina, Jeff & Grace - I am so happy to have you all concur, you must put your plan to paper to be effective. Thanks for visiting and commenting!
Tagrid, don't know if I'd called it "Wisdom" or just a simple truth. When it's written though, it seems to compel an action.
Kevin, writing it down is very important yes, it's the constant reviewing that helps to keep one going. (what is your photo/drawing on the sides?) ---Gloria
Gloria, the answer can be found at my "Wordless Wednesday" post on January 13th, 2010. Simply scroll over the picture and you'll see, it's a much better picture there too.
Hi Kevin, I've got to tell you - that picture is GREAT! It's so important for us to write down goals on paper, just as you suggested, and keep them handy. We must review them regularly so we are certain that we are staying on track. So true.
Sandy, with all that you have going on I'm sure there's a 3 ring binder attached to your steering wheel to get it all done. I will say that I need to review more often than I have been.
