These are some of the questions that you should prepare yourself to answer when you apply for a home loan. Please make sure all your answers are accurate. In your initial conversation the loan officer may just ask you for your name, address and social security number, that is okay they just want to see where you are at credit wise.
1. Your name as it appear on your drivers license and your home address how many years at that address if less than 2 years give them your previous address. Do you own or rent. If renting they need to know how much you are paying and if you are paying by check, money order or cash.
2. Landlords name and number
3. Social Security number.
4. Home number, cell number, work number.
5. Email address (if you have one).
6. Are you married, single, separated, birth-date, years of schooling number of children you have and their ages.
7. Employer's name and address, what position you hold. Do you receive child support? Alimony, disability, retirement, separate maintenance. How long will it continue (child support, disability, alimony and separate maintenance).
8. Bank information, bank name, type of account and balance. If you do business with two banks they need information on both of them.
If you are using a co-borrower they will need the same information from them also.
You should also try to get together 2 months of bank statements, 2 years of w-2 a copy of your license and social security card.
This is not everything but it gives you a good idea on what you should be prepared to answer when talking to a loan officer. If there is anything I can help you with just send me an email or give me a call I would be happy to assist you.

If they can't answer those simple questions, heck how can they fill out a rental application.
