I love Docusign....I've said it before in other blogs too!
I received a letter from Docusign as I'm sure many of you did, but if you didn't here is a bit of it....
In the past, we have heard many complaints regarding lender acceptance of e-signatures in regards to FHA insured loans specifically. That has now changed.
Today, April 8, 2010, e-signed third-party documents, including real estate contracts, are now being accepted by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) with the issuance of today's mortgagee letter.
I have only had 1 deal where FHA required us to also get originals on the purchase offer just before the deal closed. Not that big of a deal on that one as the clients were in town at the time. But, this is a great leap as there are still a lot of deals where we use Docusign as the clients are out of town buyers and sellers. I even use it for those clients in town as it cuts down on time and paper!
If you are not using Docusign....well, why not? Give it a try!
