Hernando MS Real Estate Market Report - March 2010

Unlike Olive Branch MS and Tate County MS, Hernando MS did not see any increase in sales over last month.  There were 25 homes sold last month in Hernando with an average sales price of $163,355 and an average days on the market of 92.

Here are the comparisons to last month and same time last year:

Feb. 2010
sales:  25          Avg $180,056          Avg DOM 74

March 2009
sales:  18          Avg $146,275          Avg DOM 113

Unlike some of the other Northwest MS communities, Hernando MS had more non-distress sales than foreclosures and short sales.

The $170,000 - $200,000 price range saw the most sales in March.

Currently, there are 264 homes for sale in Hernando MS:

• lowest price $64,900
• highest price $950,000
• median price $199,900

Those 264 homes for sale represent a 13.7 month supply of inventory.  Approximately 3.8% of all homes for sale in Hernando MS are foreclosures.
