Extreme Science Going on from 6pm until 8pm at Chick-fil-A Tomball tonight 4/9/10.  The scientist (Mark Shepherd) has a special Hurricane and Tornado science program.  These pictures are from the March Extreme Science Night.  The kids were absolutely riveted to every move and experiment.

Science #2

When he asked for a volunteer, the kids could not get their hands fast enough.  They all wanted to be the volunteer.

Science #3

Here is where he started the experiment.  The kid had their eyes are glued to the bucket with water in it.

Science #4

Then he pulled out the glass he had submerged, and let the children feel that the cow inside the cup that was inverted inside the ice bucket full of water.  The cow was still dry.  He was describing to the children why it was still dry when I left.  Mark Shepherd is a science teacher, and he is so passionate about science and knows how to make it fun and interesting for the kids.  If you miss him tonight, just let the marketing director or manager at Chick-fil-A know you would like to see him at a future date.  The show was FREE.

Science #5

The marketing director at this location is excellent about having some entertainment or activity every Friday night that is suitable for families.  It is always free.  When times are tough, it is a nice place to be able to take your family/kids for entertainment that is free.  Hope you can make it some Friday.

I think you need to go back and find out why the cow is still dry and then report back to all of us science dummies.

Hey Melanie, thanks for your coment.

Jim, I left before he told why, but I think it is the same concept as a diving bell.  Air displaces the water and creates a air bubble in the cup -- sound logical?

Hi Jim, I am busy, but the Proxy Errors that I constantly get are a great detriment.   I even tried to email Russel and got an Proxy Error.  I just tried to start a new blog (just a second ago) and got a proxy error.  Can the IT people get their act together???  I don't want to take 30 - 45 minutes to do a blog and then lose the information.

I've got 3 new listings I need to advertize, as well as a sold "fixer-upper" and another listing that closed last Friday that we got a contract on in 9 days.

Hey Jim, did Russel get the train calendar I sent him?  If he did I hope he likes it.  I think the pictures are great.
