Speechless Sunday - Springtime Oklahoma Dogwood Tree

Oklahoma Dogwood Tree

This beautiful tree is located in my backyard.  Every year at this time it displays absolutely gorgeous blooms.  All the dogwoods, tulips, redbuds and other trees and flowers are in full bloom in Oklahoma right now.  And so are our alergies!  You can't really tell from the picture, but this tree took a lot of limb damage in the ice storm this past winter.

Dogwoods in bloom are one of my favorites!  I also love magnolias!  Yours is beautiful!  About 40 minutes south in Lewiston Idaho they have an annual Dogwood Festival.  It is lovely to see the town all decked out in beautiful Dogwoods!

I LOVE DOGWOODS!!! I am from GA and moved to WA about 5 years ago and the Dogwood has always been my favorite.  My parents have a dogwood the the tree trunk is about 10-15' wide (yes we had a tree expert come out and he said it was the oldest Dogwood he ever heard of).  It was an amazing time in the spring when it bloomed! wow HUGE TREE,

My wife and children purchased a doogwood for me here in WA we planted it and I love it its not time to bloom yet but when it does i will post a pic of it.....

Thank you for this picture WOW, hey did i tell you I love Dogwoods.. (hahaha)

Bob, I love this time of year.  This pic make me think of one of my favoite movies "An American President".  As Karen said it's VA's tree and flower.  In this movie, he wanted to send her the State flowers and it was a tree.  Funny movie, he sent here a Virginia Ham.

Bob,

The dogwood tree is special because it blooms so completely and is just covered in flowers. A real treat. :)

The pink dodwood is a beautiful tree in bloom.  I have thought about planting them in my backyard and your photo has convinced me that they are the right choice.
