Sellers sitting on the fence?

Now is the time to call those sellers that haven't listed yet and light a fire. Let them now that the Tax credit ends April 30th. Many buyers are looking for a home to purchase NOW to qualify for a $8000 or $6500 tax credit. Tell them that a home must be under contract by April 30th and close by June 30th. The chances are if they are priced right their home could be put under contract this month! Just one more way to utilize the tax credit.

Listed three homes in the last 10 days.  Well, you might have wanted to move a little faster, sellers, the party's almost over.

It is Almost too late for those sellers that cannot make a decision!   Interest rates are climbing, and home buyer credit will be gone!

I am seeing that most people do not care about the tax credit. Homes are at rock bottom prices.

You want more listings on the market?!? Nationally, 1 in 10 homes in the MLS will sell this year. Increased inventory will be moved through auction and other alternative channels. There should be a government program to help Realtors to get houses off the market.

I guess it depends on where your market is.  We are not overwhelemed with home listings. At least not yet anyway. Plus how many can really get thier home ready for a listing this month. This was just a suggestion for those sitting on the fence.

Carla, I'm sorry, I guess I sounded unusually crabby, I'm working too much. In the past week, I have done 4 or 5 quickie markets for people who should have contacted me (or any other agent) months ago. I hate the idea of losing business, but I can only go so fast. Calling on April 11 to get your house listed to grab the 1st time home buyer is just a tad unrealistic! And since these are all referrals, I'll look bad to my original client if I don't do a good job. But again, sorry to sound critical on your post.

Carla,

Anytime a good reason arises to make some contact is a good day......this is just a big one.
