Julie, I had the pleasure of being on Kauai in January of 2009. That was right before the real estate market got hit so hard. We had been hit already in Washington but agents on Kauai I know were saying the market was still strong. I refereed a Dentist to an agent on Kauai, who is now out of the business and the Dentist says his property is worth at least 10% less than what he paid. I hope it turns around soon. I was in Maui for the Tsunami =) this year and I think Maui is worse off than Kauai!
