We all know that Realtor.com is a highly trafficked site for buyers looking in specific areas.  Sure the listing packages are nice, and the search for an agent feature is good, but what I want to talk about is the Banner.  A few months ago I inquired about a banner that would post at the top of the page when someone searched a city included in my county.  The price was 3k a year.  The thing that puzzled me is that they could not tell me what the average click through rate or impressions were for my county.  The sales person told me that that information is not available at this time....ahh Ok!  So I am asking the network, if there is anyone who has a banner on Realtor.com, does it generate traffic to your website?  Or is it just another overpriced lead doorway?

I would put the money and energy into your site. I would do pay per click as a way to test your site for leads. I would use google adwords. I think the days of realtor.com are numbered as it stands. The large companies in the amrket want people to view listings on their sites and not realtor.com. They are stuck trying to get money from the realtor when what they really want is a lead generator.

Thats the response I was looking for Eric.  I have been doing pay-per-click for a year now with excellent results.  It keeps my team and I busy, especially in the spring.

I agree with Eric.  I think anything to do with Realtor.com is fading fast.  I personally did not renew my "Enhanced Listings" contract with Realtor.com because I found it ineffective.

I agree with those who have already commented.  I am dropping my "featured listings" when it comes up for renewal.  I do reluctantly plan to keep my enhanced listings package.

LOL, thanks for pointing that out Maureen!  Makes me wish I stuck a link to my website in there!

If it made sense to have a link to your website that would be OK but there's a link to your blog, your blog is linked to your website...  If someone wants to find you they will.  Sellsius blog is a good blog to be seen on...  IMHO
