Are you seeing green?

The green movement is moving along at a very strong clip right now. Politicians, retailers, advertisers, school children, media of every variety are jumping onto the green train. Even on blogs regardless of what the blogger is writing about green is starting to show up. As a culture or society we are recycling, talking about alternative fuels, working on common sense approaches to everyday problems.

So I am encouraging people to really look around and notice where you see the environmental movement taking hold. And ask questions! Understand why the world around you is changing. When you start to understand and to internalize what you see around you, you will start seeing green. As professionals you need to understand the demand of clients and today those demands are environmental.

Are you noticing the corn growing all over? Can you say Ethanol? Another byproduct of corn is feed for cattle and pigs. All good ideas right? But does the farmer use pesticides or fertilizers?

In this picture it's difficult to see the wind mill and solar panel sitting next to it. This isn't an unusal picture unless you know where they are planted. I found these out on a dirt road approx 10 miles from town or power lines. This was no doubt suppling energy to one of the numberous houses in the area. None of these houses had conventional power. You can live off the grid!

Dena - I'm starting to see it more and more - and I wonder if it's me or the green revolution - I know people like you here have raised my awareness so I believe I observe more than I used to. Either way - the message is filtering down to the masses.

Thanks Dena,

I try my best to be green at home and in my staging business.

I am happy to see green becoming an important issue among many.

Great observations. I noticed a house on my street with solar panels. Some people will be suprised that green living is not just for the rich or for new construction or just found in rural areas. I live down the street from the city hospital in an affordable quiet neighborhood with mostly 1950's cape cods and other small homes from that period. Green is everywhere!

I love the movement and want to become a role model to those "watching me". This group is to inspire and you do a nice job at it...We are going to see a burst of members as I said earlier today- we are going to make the other groups "green" with envy!

Dena, I was thinking the same thing.  It's popping up everywhere!!  I bet the corn will surprise a few people.

Dena, people like you bring more of an awareness to this need every day.  I am doing the little things and try to add to them and we can ALL help and do our share with such an important issue.
