As I have written before the homebuyer tax credit is coming to an end. to be eligible you must be in contract by the end of this month and close your transaction by the end of June 2010.
The homebuyer tax credit has been extended for one year for members of the military and certain other federal employees. This extension applies to members of the military and certain other federal employees who have served on qualified official extended duty outside the U.S. for at least 90 days during the period after 12-31-2008 and before 5-1-2010.
The deadlines for people who qualify for the extension are as follows. They must be in contract by April 30, 2011 and close on or before June 30, 2011.
