The state department of licensing in Washington state is getting the word out about the final licensing deadline for home inspectors. When the first phase kicked in, back in September of last year, many people claimed that they were totally unaware that any changes were in the works. DOL is, this time, trying to make sure that everyone knows that, come July 1, 2010, unlicensed inspectors may not do home inspections in the state. Put plain and simple, at a rapid pace, the clock is now ticking away and there is less time every day that goes by.

Per the recent DOL press release:

Home Inspectors - Don't let time get away from you.

July 1, 2010 is the deadline to meet all licensing requirements to get your home inspector license!

Do you have questions about home inspector licensing?

The Department of Licensing is hosting four outreach events to answer your questions about:

· Licensing requirements
· License verification
· License renewals
· Home inspector website
· Real estate referrals
· Standards of practice
· Home inspector licensing law
· Advertising

Home inspectors of all experience levels are encouraged to attend including anyone thinking about home inspection as a career!

I'm proud that you and Charles are so respected in our state. I wish you both worked in my area. Sorry so many flakes brought on the wrath of Olympia on your profession. How do you feel about regulation and licensing, Steve?
Your friends from Washington State,
Paul
