Warning:  There is a virus going around Active Rain, just like a pack of matches, everyone is going up in flames.  It is only a matter of time until you are next.

From my observations, I can’t pinpoint where it started, but the latest victim (before me) was TLW.  It has hit me, most likely because I read those blogs that  talked about it.  It is a virus causing an infection known as Blogger’s Block. I have injected this particular blog with the antidote for Blogger’s Block, so don’t worry about reading this.  But it is too late for me.  It is not too late to save yourselves

Where you can go for help:  For more information on how to cure  Blogger’s Block, don’t contact me.  I can’t think of a darn thing either.  The best thing to do is find someone who never seems to run out of witty things to say, or unfathomable amounts of knowledge in any subject.

Another option would be visiting the outdoors and stepping away from ActiveRain.  I know your points are at stake, but going without a decent blog for almost two weeks hurts worse.  It’s frustrating watching peers pass you up the list for the number 1 spot.  Survivors have said that the effects are slow to go away, but leave virtually no side effects.

Wish me well, I'm on the road to recovery.

OH MY!  I think I'm the 'culpit'....I've had this "Bloggers Blog" since day one....I think I brought it with me to AR!!!!!!!!!!!  I've heard it was contagious, but thought mine was a 'light case' and wouldn't spread (kinda like the guy, who got on the airplane traveling oversees, with TB)....jeeze I'm soooooooo sorry people!

Lexa,

Don't tell me it's contagious! I think I've found the anti-virus, where do you want it? (LOL)

LOL Brea and Mary.  I know it's hurt all of us in one form or another.  Brea, are you registered to use a weapon like that?  I don't even let nurses get close with a needle THAT size!

I disappear for 4 to 6 days at a time.  Now I write 2 to 5 word "drafts" to mentally hold my place - starting to collect those, too.  I relate.

Art, when I have 12 drafts and can't remember the direction I was going with them I know I'm in trouble... :)    Lorinda, it's horrible. I was hoping this could be a warning, but it seems like it is too late!

I read the many newsletters I get and just rehash what they have to say.  It's like the start the dialogue and then I jump in with my never humble opinion.  Try it, you mihgt like it.

To cure Blogger's Block, I recommend a virtual trip to Colorado Springs to see Dr. Mariana Wagner. She has some great ideas on local content, plus a three-part series of ideas inspired by The Godfather movies.

Let's get together for a cup of coffee and talk about it this week.  My office in on Country Club just south of Ft. Lowell.  Where are you?  Do you know Penny Porter and Southwest Society of Authors here in Tucson?

LM,

Bloggers Block can be repaired very easily. Go out with your hubby or boyfriend for a fun night, relax, enjoy and have fun.

The next day you`ll be back to normal, sans the hangover!

Lexa

Great post! I've too had to step away from Active Rain for awhile and am slowly comming back. It is difficult as you say to constantly make posts or the fear of writing something only to have your work rejected. But, like all things we need to press on!

Welcome back!

Rey, I am contagious.  People can't get enough of me, and always remember my name :P Just Kidding!  But Lexapro isn't the anti-dote to me!  LOL

Gary, thanks for the compliements!

Everyone else, somehow I wrote a comment back to all of you, and it's gone.  So just understand that the virus MIGHT be spreading to comments too....

Thank you very much for sharing, you need a positive affirmation, I think of great topics to post about EVERY DAY! Say it and write it everyday and the ideas will flow...you just have to believe.

I too am a recovering Anxious Author with Bloggers Block.  I stepped away for a couple of weeks partly because of that and partly because of being very busy showing properties.  My solution is to not take myself so seriously all the time, but to blog about other things as well.  Hence, my blog about my Wardrobe Malfunction.

Lexa I was scared to read all the way to the end because I was scared I would get hit next.  I have been fighting the symptoms for the last week or so.  I guess I better go outside and run around so that I can shake it off!!

Cute and original, you didn't let "bloggers block" get the best of you, maybe you are in remission? Hope so!
