Free Starbucks on Tax Day and the Beginning of a New Movement

By
Real Estate Agent

I suspect more than one of you will be burning the midnight coal this evening, while finishing up your taxes!

I do want to alert you that Starbucks will provide a little free help to you tomorrow (April 15th).  They are encouraging folks to switch to reusable travel mugs from paper cups.  If you take your travel mug into any Starbucks this Thursday, they will fill it with FREE brewed coffee.

Although this FREE coffee event is falling on Tax Day, the gesture is part of a larger global movement encouraging everyone to switch from paper cups to reusable travel mugs.

The movement is taking place in locations around the world including East China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, UK, Ireland, Argentina, Bahamas, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico.

Join them now by taking the pledge!

Myrl:

What a great tactic by Starbucks. We need all the coffee we can get to stay up and do our taxes. They truly know their marketing.

Hi Myrl, Ya gotta love it. I still have quite a few un-cashed Starbucks gift cards for emergencies and tomorrow we can have it free. I love the taste of their coffee but Starbucks feels almost free to me everyday because I prefer to make it myself and do. Love the gesture though. Good way to build brand loyalty.

In Washington, we love our coffee but taxes can sour the taste of the best brew...

Pretty soon some will want us to use the same water cup every day at home.

Oh, I forgot.  We already do that.

Claudette - Yup, everything is about marketing these days!

William - You can redeem those gift cards for coffee beans (ground or whole) since you like brewing your own!

Lisa - Yup!  It's all about the green stuff:-)

Paul - That's right, Starbucks originated in Seattle if I remember correctly!

Jim - It's a brave new world. . .LOL

Judi - What, no Starbucks!  Where is it you live again!

Hi Myrl...I did mine this week, our taxes are not due until the end of April in Canada. I'm getting a nice refund..... that's the Good News. The reason is my income was down last year :O))

I wonder what other professions or jobs take a hit on income like we do when Homes Stop Selling because Bankers are being tough on Consumers because they(Banks) screwed up. A Few I expect.

Cheers, Hope you're getting a nice refund too :O))
