Key Idea #1 Get Disturbed
The 1st key to achieving your goals is to get disturbed. That's right, get upset. Aren't most goal really a change in behavior? I know that seems like a reach...bear with me. One of the biggest goals I hear about is people wanting to lose weight or get in shape. So what has to happen in order for the weight to be lost? Ahh a change in eating habits or exercise which is a...that's right a change in behavior.
What happens when some one doesn't achieve a goal? They make up an excuse! Well I did better this month than last. I've come so far in the last 6 months. I just didn't have time. You know I love that one. The only common denominator between all people on earth is time. You see everyone has 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,760 hours/ year. Everyone's week is the same, everywhere on earth.
My point is this. People use softeners to make them selves feel better for not achieving what they set out to do. When you do that you're not being honest with yourself and you're accepting mediocrity. Mediocrity is not based on people around you. It's when you settle for anything less than what you really are.
So yes get disturbed. No more, not another minute, not another day! Make it worse than it is. Get something that moves you. Guess what, if you're not disturbed you're not going to change. Because when you're disturbed it becomes a must. When it's a must it gets done.
Let me ask you a question, did you pay your mortgage or rent last month? You did right? You don't wish you could pay your mortgage, you just do it, right? If you don't pay your mortgage you don't have a place to live and we must have a place to live right?
You see musts happen, shoulds, would like to, boy it would be nice if, and want to's don't.
Get disturbed about what you must change or have and....
Stay tuned and Key Idea #2 will be posted tomorrow. Email me and to ask how 7 days can change your life.
