Business in Paris, France - For Sale - does this interest Florida Real Estate companies?

Following is an email I received on 7-29-2007 from an acquaintance in Paris, France. The gentleman has explained his purpose in the email. I have met him in Paris, in his offices. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

Subject: Acquisition Opportunity

Dear Mr Monk,

Many thanks for your kind invitation to Florida. I shall certainly contact you before my next visit.

I am writing in the event that you may know of any enterprising company or individual wishing to develop business in France and the rest of Europe.

I am looking to retire from full-time work in 2008 and have decided to find a buyer for all or part of the share capital of WARF, my consulting company based in Paris.

There is a strong potential growth in each of its three activity areas:

    Mergers and acquisitions

Business centre, with a recurrent income stream

    Real estate transactions

Actually, there is too much business for the existing staff to cope with but, as I wish to work less rather than more, (I shall be 70 this year) I do not want to hire and manage more staff.

I am looking for compatible younger Managers/Associates to take over and build the business and provide new career challenges for the highly motivated existing staff (average age 25).

If you know of anyone interested in this opportunity, please ask them to confirm their interest to my E-mail address (mike.wallace@warf.fr)

Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you again in Paris or Florida.

Sincerely yours

Mike Wallace

my gut feelings is run and do not get caught up in it. I normally go with my gut and leave it at that and I do not turn back. Good Luck

Thanks, Susan Trombley, for your sentiments.  I do value all the opinions I receive here at AR.  For the most part, the comments can be trusted as sincere, since there is no incentive to be anything other than sincere.  I will stay out of the 'line of fire'.

I met this gentleman in his office in Paris as I was there trying to create interest amongst the French to purchase Florida property.  He seems 100% legitimate to me.  I understand what he says.  He just wants to slow down, then completely quit work because of his age, and he hopes to sell his business.

I believe it could be a really good situation for the right company, but they do need to be cautious and educated in the international market place, and particularly, the inner-workings of the French enterprise.
