When was the last time you updated your real estate photo? I find agents who have been in the business for years often don't update their photo on a consistent basis. What do you think clients are thinking when they meet you in person for the first time, and the photo they saw of you was taken 10 years ago?
I know what I would be thinking...behind the times, not on the up and up, not cutting edge, trying to be something they are not, misleading. Is this what you want people to think? Now I know we all want to hold onto our youth somewhat, but there comes a time when we have to face the facts. We are getting older and wiser, so don't be ashamed to display your years of experience, instead use it as an asset. You could even take a photo each year you have been in the real estate business and display them side by side, showing your years of experience. I know I would be impressed by this! WOW! They have done real estate this many years and are still doing it? They must be pretty successful and know what they are doing.
It's funny how agents plaster their faces all over the place and of course want to look good doing it. Just make sure you use a good photographer, and try to update it every couple of years or so. We want to relate to who you are today, not to who you were 10 years ago. It is okay to grow older and change your hair, it is a fact of life... embrace it and we will embrace you!

I am overdue. My photo is about 5 years old. I need to drop about 20 pounds before do a sitting though. Thanks for the reminder!
