7 Comments on Safeguarding Client Information - It is important to keep our email accounts secure. Hacked is not a nice word!
I recently got an email from someone explaining that she had been traveling and was stranded overseas. The odd part was, she was a prior client who I had fired after only 3 months because I learned that she was stark raving mad - really crazy and too much of a liability to keep as a client. It struck me as really odd that she would ask ME for money, but I deleted the email anyway. Hearing about the hacked email, it all makes sense now. Good post, thanks for sharing.
Many of my friends have been hacked in their FB accounts --- you get silly U-Tube emails, so you KNOW not to open!
The stranded in London story has been around for years... What I really find alarming is that someone has hacked into your website. Why? What do they want with it? Easily fixed? Curious.
Judi, just the thought of getting my email hacked sends shivers up my spine... it is a good idea to change passwords often.
So far, so good. So far, so good. But I don't use free email accounts. And I guess I am not popular enough to have my website hacked. What a life these people must have if all they do is hack into other people's lives. Very sad.
Judi:
This sounds like a horribe and hard to avoid problem. I've read, too, about the FB founder before. Scary stuff!
I hadn't heard about the FB founder doing that - is that for real? The send money story seems to be floating around quite a bit these days. Great heads up post - thanks!
