CDPE Course Should Be Standard For Servicing Distressed Clients!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Associate Partners Realty 223033

I just finished taking the CDPE (Certified Distress Property Expert) course and have earned this designation. While I am excited about all I have learned, I have been doing short sales and helping families in distress for many years. I must admit though that this course showed me that I could be doing so much more to help famiies and that there are so many ways that we can even help these families potentially STAY IN THEIR HOMES! It is exciting and refreshing to see all the up to date information that is given with this course. The instructor certainly knows his material and facts. This was by far one of the best courses I have ever taken.

If you have done short sales and plan on working with these families I would urge you to consider using this course (www.cdpe.com) as a way to not only perfect what you are practicing, but to use it as a way for all of us who are serving these families to give a standard of service that is repeatable, understandable and should in my opinion become "the proper way to service a distressed client".

If you have taken this course, how have you used it? What has helped you the most? I'm curious since I've done it the old fashioned way..."I know what I'm doing, I've done these before' way, and now have this new information through this course to use as a new standard of working with distressed clients using the CDPE.

I look forward to hearing from you!

I agree with you. If an agent is going to handle distressed sales they certainly should be trained and have expetise. It is not fair to a client or customer if they are not.

Thank you Team Honeycutt. Not being properly trained can open Realtors up to a lot of legal liabilities as well as potentially leave the buyers and sellers out in the cold without a home and with more problems.

Alex, I am very honored, thank you.

Good Point!  Agents that have no experience or training should never do a short sale.  I'm closing on the average of 3 a month right now.  Without the CDPE Training, and several other classes, I would never have attempted to save a short sale.
