This winter was colder and wetter than we've had in the last few drought years. It kept my flowers from doing much during February and March. We've still had rain in April and unseasonably cool weather. However, the last few days of sunshine have really made my fence-top plants take off with the sort of vigor I like to see.
This is one of the best photos I've seen all week ... the other one was Lake Mendocino being full! I'm glad we have had a reprieve from our years of drought.
It is indeed especially nice to have flowers in full bloom around tax time. Many of us could use that extra cheering up this time of year. Have a great weekend.

I had to write a nice check to Uncle Sam myself. I'm just glad I made enough money to owe taxes. The alternative isn't very attractive.
